We are seeking a talented Consolidation Controller to join our Corporate Accounting Team. This role is responsible for executing the global consolidation process, maintaining the HFM system, and supporting accurate and timely internal and external reporting under US GAAP. The position includes oversight of tax and technical accounting matters, collaboration with global finance teams, and active involvement in audits, policy implementation, and process improvements. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and experience in a global public company environment.
The position will report to the Director of Corporate Accounting and is not suitable for applicants who are looking for their first role exiting an accounting firm or internship.
In this role you will:
- Ensure execution of the global monthly and quarterly financial consolidation process in accordance with US GAAP, including foreign currency translation, intercompany elimination, equity, investments, M&A accounting, and related adjustments
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting packages by closely coordinating with regional controllers and subsidiary finance teams
- Prepare of consolidated financial statements and SEC filings (6-K and 20-F), ensuring full compliance with US GAAP and reporting timelines
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures, including monitoring changes in accounting standards and regulations
- Supervise global tax accounting, review of tax reporting packages from subsidiaries, assessment of current and deferred tax positions, and disclosures in the consolidated financial statements.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly analytical reviews, providing insights into financial performance, variance analysis, and business drivers.
- Maintain the consolidation system (HFM), coordinating timely and accurate data submissions from all subsidiaries
- Work closely with external auditors to support the annual audit and quarterly reviews
- Provide accounting expertise on a wide range of issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, impairments, and equity transactions, in compliance with US GAAP
- Proactively identify opportunities for efficiencies through process improvements, implementation of new technologies and automation.
- Perform ad-hoc corporate projects and supporting special accounting issues as needed.
What does it require from you?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA with Big 4 experience in the high-tech industry
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Financial Controller in a corporate environment of a global US publicly traded technology company
- Good knowledge and experience in US GAAP
- Excellent English, verbal and written
- Experience with Oracle ERP and HFM systems – advantage
- Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to build working relationships across teams and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment
- Independent, hands-on, and proactive, with high self-motivation
