Legal Counsel

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to oversee our commercial agreements, regulatory compliance, and legal operations in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. This role is pivotal in managing negotiations with vendors and business partners, ensuring compliance with defense industry regulations, and supporting procurement and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with vendors, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, including export control (ITAR, EAR) and defense industry standards.
• Manage legal aspects of procurement and supply chain, including agreements with manufacturers for both custom and off-the-shelf products.
• Provide legal support for international transactions, including end-user certificates and licensing approvals.
• Work closely with the supply chain manager to navigate complex vendor agreements, particularly for technology development and specialized services.
• Oversee risk assessment and advise on legal implications of business operations, procurement strategies, and international engagements.
  
  

• 6+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on commercial contracts
• Understanding of procurement and supply chain legal frameworks, including licensing and import/export compliance.
• Familiarity with export control regulations and industrial security compliance - an advantage.
• Prior experience in the defense industry - an advantage.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with business, operations, and procurement teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Fluent in English, must be able to draft and negotiate contracts at a professional level.
• The most important requirement is to be someone who enables things rather than someone who raises flags and risks.
