Job description

We are seeking a talented physicist to join our Quantum Hardware team. In this role, you will collaborate with Hamiltonian engineers to design and simulate multi-dimensional superconducting circuits. These contributions will feed directly into Qarakal’s core technology: next-generation QPUs tailored to run tomorrow’s quantum algorithms. Your devices will feature scalable, high-coherence architectures, developed in coordination with the Application and Measurement teams to improve qubit lifetimes and fidelities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

●      Numerical electromagnetic simulations

●      RF-analysis of superconducting devices

●      Hierarchical CAD-design, including expansion of libraries

Qualifications

Need to have:

●      MSc in physics or similar (PhD is an advantage)

●      At least three years’ experience in python coding

●      Experience in FEM simulations and microwave engineering

●      Ability to work effectively both in teams and independently — also under pressure

Nice to have:

●      PhD in physics, EE or similar

●      Understanding of superconductivity and/or quantum optics

●      Experience with Ansys EDT, PySpice

General

Our offices are in Tel Aviv, and our newly renovated lab facility is located at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Givat Ram). For the foreseeable future you will mostly work in Tel Aviv (on-site).
