Thermal Engineer

Thermal Engineer | Central Israel | Missile & Space Systems Division, Israel Aerospace Industries

We are looking for a Thermal Engineer to join the Missile and Space Systems Division.

The position includes:

• Thermal design and analysis of airborne structures under extreme thermal conditions

• Thermal analysis of electronic enclosures

• Thermal protection design for high-speed aerodynamic bodies

• Thermal design for systems operating in space environments

• Planning, execution, and analysis of thermal tests

• Thermo-chemical characterization of materials

What we’re looking for:

• Master’s or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering – required

• Specialization in fluid mechanics and heat transfer (energy) – significant advantage

• Knowledge in thermo-chemistry – an advantage

• At least 3 years of experience in heat transfer – advantage

• Experience in thermal design and analysis – advantage

• Experience working with software such as PATRAN, SINDA, NXFLOW – advantage

• Hands-on experience in planning and conducting thermal tests
