Mainframe Consultant

We're seeking an experienced Mainframe Infrastructure Manager to oversee our infrastructure department and manage mission-critical mainframe operations.

This is a strategic leadership role for a Mainframe expert ready to drive excellence in enterprise infrastructure management.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and manage the Infrastructure department team.
• Oversee task scheduling and execution across Mainframe environments.
• Drive installation, upgrades, and maintenance of Mainframe infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability of production systems and optimize performance.
• Maintain production system availability and reliability.
• Handle incident resolution and troubleshooting for Mainframe systems.
• Manage Mainframe products and related infrastructure components.
• Implement best practices for system stability and performance.
• Lead technical teams in complex environments.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational processes.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven team management experience (mandatory).
• 4+ years hands-on experience with z/OS, TSO, SDSF, JCL (mandatory).
• Strong background in enterprise Mainframe operations.
• Leadership experience in technical environments.
• Infrastructure programming experience with REXX in mainframe environments.
• Mainframe Assembler programming skills.
• Experience with Control-M job scheduling.
• Hardware experience: storage arrays, tape libraries, Networking switches.
• Flexibility for after-hours work when required.
