Location: Netanya area (with occasional travel to suppliers and sites)

Contract: Full-time, outsourced

Client: Growing medical device startup

An innovation-driven medical device startup in the Netanya area is expanding its procurement capabilities to support rapid product development and scalable production. Through Opyflow, the company is seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to play a key role in bridging R&D and Operations, ensuring that sourcing strategies align with design requirements, quality standards, and production timelines.

This position will lead the sourcing of advanced technologies — including catheters, nitinol components, and precision electronics — while applying a structured project management approach to build a resilient and cost-effective supply base.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for critical medical device components, including catheters, nitinol assemblies, PCBAs, and other precision technologies.
• Act as a bridge between R&D and Operations, translating technical specifications into supplier requirements and ensuring readiness for production.
• Identify, qualify, negotiate with, and manage local and global suppliers in compliance with ISO 13485, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
• Lead supplier audits, onboarding, and performance management.
• Implement structured project management practices with clear milestones, deliverables, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance — to proactively address supply challenges.
• Monitor industry trends and drive supplier development initiatives to enhance quality, reduce costs, and strengthen supply chain resilience.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPSM, PMP) are an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing/procurement experience within the medical device industry.
• Demonstrated expertise sourcing complex components such as catheters, nitinol, and precision electronics.
• Proven experience in a startup or high-growth environment, with a structured project management approach to sourcing activities.
• Strong knowledge of supplier qualification, auditing, and regulatory compliance within medical device standards.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and sourcing tools.
