Back End Developer

A fast-growing, VC-backed startup in the financial technology sector is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join its core engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to join a company at the scale-up stage and help build the most advanced and scalable FP&A platform on the market — already adopted by major companies across industries.

We are seeking a highly motivated, technically strong individual with a passion for backend development, architecture, and high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop complex backend components and infrastructure in a production environment.
• Own full engineering lifecycle from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define new features and drive strategic product direction.
• Conduct code and design reviews, participate in architecture discussions.
• Optimize the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of the backend systems.
• Ensure high-quality engineering standards are met consistently.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in Python backend development – Mandatory.
• Strong experience with AWS – Mandatory.
• Experience working in startups – Mandatory.
• Proven track record designing and maintaining scalable, production-grade backend systems.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes – Advantage.
• Frontend/fullstack experience – Advantage.
• Experience in or understanding of financial analysis – Advantage.
• Passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and high-performance code.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Previous experience working with Israeli tech companies – Advantage.
