Company Description
ASHRA, a government-owned insurance company established in 1957, supports Israeli exporters and secures financing for medium and long-term projects around the world. Operating mainly in developing countries with high commercial and political risks, ASHRA offers insurance coverage for these risks. Its policies are fully backed by a state guarantee from the Israeli Accountant General.
Role Description
ASHRA is seeking a full-time Senior Underwriter. The Senior Underwriter will evaluate insurance applications, determine coverage terms, and negotiate financial and legal terms and documents.
This role involves collaboration with various external entities (leading exporters, banks, government offices, lawyers, international entities, reinsurers, etc.) and internal company stakeholders, including participation and presentations in credit committees.
This role is located in the Tel Aviv.
Qualifications
- Experience in the credit/finance industry
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
- Ability to understand and critically read English legal documents (commercial contracts, financing agreements etc.)
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Experience in Trade Finance is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
