Software Engineer III, Google Cloud Filestore

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• 2 years of experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with cloud computing concepts and technologies.
• Experience with software development in C++ or other general purpose programming languages.
• Experience leading technical design and development, with knowledge in clustered and concurrent programming.
• Knowledge or experience with file systems and storage, and of distributed systems principles and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and implement key components, built from the grounds-up.
• Participate during the ramping up of the project, and influence critical architecture and design decisions.
• Work with peers from other aspects of the product development lifecycle, including all filesystem engineering teams, product management, program management, SRE, UX/UI.
• Work with product and customers, to best fit future requirements, developing code primarily in C++.
