About the Role:

We’re looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy Accountant to manage end-to-end financial operations for our startup clients—primarily Israeli companies operating in the U.S. market. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves optimizing financial processes, and enjoys working closely with founders and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financials (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Analyze variances and provide financial insights
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making

Daily Accounting Operations

• Handle bookkeeping: reconciliations, journal entries, credit cards
• Manage AP/AR and collections
• Lead monthly close processes

Financial Controls & Compliance

• Set up internal controls and risk-reduction procedures
• Create workflows for payments, expenses, reimbursements

Cash Management

• Monitor cash flow and working capital
• Manage banking relationships and liquidity

Payroll & PEO Management

• Set up and manage payroll via PEOs (Justworks, Vensure, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with U.S. state/federal regulations
• Oversee onboarding, pay cycles, and reimbursements

Tax & Compliance

• Coordinate with CPAs for tax filings (federal, state, local)
• Ensure adherence to all financial/labor regulations

Systems & Automation

• Implement and optimize accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online)
• Automate routine processes for scale and accuracy

HR & Admin Support (as needed)

• Assist with HR system setup and documentation
• Support onboarding/offboarding for client teams

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in startup/small business finance (U.S. and/or Israeli markets)
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online (other platforms a plus) - MUST
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, resourceful, and tech-savvy
• Strong familiarity with U.S. payroll, PEOs, and compliance
• Able to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a dynamic setting
