Job Description

Mining Senior Economist is responsible to liaise with the economics terms of Aynak mining contract and feasibility study of project (evaluate and Analysis of economics dimension, Revenue, cost, royalty, taxis, Auditing …etc.).

Detailed Duties And Responsibilities

• Best knowledge about ACCA Analyses and evaluate of audit reports
• Analyse and evaluate financial performance of the feasibility study of project according to national and international standards & practises.
• Analyse and evaluate financial performance of the project during exploration/mining operation and selling to LME market.
• Evaluate for the potential or banks for loans and political risk insurance in project.
• Develop economic modules, write market and financial reports for the projects.
• Calculate CAPEX/OPEX for the Aynak projects.
• Identifies economic indicators in respect to trends of the national and local economies
• Understanding of laws and regulations for transit, taxation, custom/duty, port charges and other fees of Afghanistan and neighbouring countries.
• Any other tasks assigned by line Director or Managing Director
• Other execution that is provided by law and regulation
  
  

Job Requirements

• Master’s or bachelor degree in mining economics, Mineral economics, General Economist/ACCA or natural resources.
• A minimum experience of 5 years’ for Master & 7 year for bachelor, and a proven track record of financial analysis and economic module development or in a similar business development role.
• Basic understanding of mining operation and international markets for minerals consumption.
• A polished professional with strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Fluent English oral and written skills.
• Strong Excel and software skills.
