Are you passionate about experimental physics, cutting-edge technology, and mentoring the next generation of scientists?
The Department of Physics at Ben-Gurion University is looking for a hands-on, curious, and tech-savvy Laboratory Engineer to join our team and support the operation and innovation of our teaching and research labs.
💡 What you’ll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain experiments for undergraduate and graduate labs
- Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment — both electronic and computerized
- Support students and faculty in conducting experiments and projects
- Purchase and maintain lab equipment and materials
- Utilize programming tools like Python, Matlab, and LabView for lab automation and data analysis
👤 Who you are:
- Hold a BSc in Physics or Electrical & Computer Engineering (MSc is a strong plus)
- Have experience working in academic or industrial labs with electronic equipment
- Comfortable using lab software, instrumentation tools, and scripting languages
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Have a passion for teaching, mentoring, and scientific exploration
- Experience in instruction/training – a bonus!
