Job Title: Technical HVAC Engineer – Sales & Field Integration Support
Location: NYC (Office + Field Site Visits)
About the RoleEphoca is seeking a Technical HVAC Engineer with deep expertise in HVAC systems and a strong command of technical documentation. This in-office role supports our sales efforts by bridging technical insight with real-world application, from blueprint analysis to site evaluations, from product data refinement to collaborative client guidance. Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & Sales Enablement- Serve as the go-to technical resource for the sales team, providing real-time answers on system performance, installation logistics, and control system integration.
- Assist clients by evaluating their engineering needs and delivering tailored HVAC solutions that align with their building specifications.
- Join sales reps on site visits to assess existing conditions, confirm wall or sleeve openings, and gather precise field measurements for equipment fit and performance.
- Analyze architectural and MEP drawings to recommend the most suitable Ephoca HVAC systems, ensuring compatibility with existing HVAC distribution, envelope performance, and efficiency goals.
- Identify and correct technical inaccuracies in internal and client-facing documentation.
- Develop and update detailed cut sheets, expanding product data to elevate the quality of our technical collateral.
- Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to share field feedback, shape product roadmaps, and improve the clarity and accuracy of technical resources.
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC system engineering; field support experience is a strong plus.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting construction documents (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Solid understanding of load calculations, psychrometrics, AHRI/ASHRAE standards.
- Familiarity with rebate and incentive programs (NYSERDA, ConEd, PSE&G, JCP&L) is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into clear client guidance.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Zoho CRM) and project management tools.
- Highly organized and adaptable; capable of managing multiple projects across various departments.
- Self-motivated team player with a proactive approach to changing business needs.
