Job Description

Tower Semiconductor is seeking a highly motivated Senior-Level Process Engineer to lead process development, technology transfer, and tool/process optimization in a dynamic, high-volume manufacturing fab located in Migdal HaEmek, Israel.

Tower Fab2 is a fast-growing manufacturing facility specializing in high-performance semiconductor devices for diverse applications. With a focus on delivering exceptional quality, cost efficiency, and optimized cycle times, the fab presents an exciting environment for innovation and leadership.

We are looking for a candidate with strong hands-on process and equipment experience, outstanding experimental and analytical skills, and a solid foundation in semiconductor materials, processes, and metrology techniques.

This Job Is for You If You:

• Take full ownership of a process area and lead by setting a clear direction for continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Proactively identify opportunities and define impactful projects to advance process development and efficiency
• Lead and mentor a team of process technicians in both project-based and daily sustaining activities
• Ensure seamless qualification and integration of new equipment to support production scaling
• Collaborate with equipment engineering to improve tool uptime and utilization metrics
• Apply advanced process control techniques to enhance Cpk and reduce variability at critical stages
• Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives that contribute to bottom-line results
• Define, lead, and execute improvement projects that optimize cost, quality, and productivity
• Develop and refine robust processes to support new product introductions with scalable manufacturability

Job Requirements

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. (recent graduate) in Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
• Preferred: background in semiconductor studies, cleanroom experience, or prior role as a process engineer
• Demonstrated proficiency in statistical methods, SPC, DOE, and data analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Strong hands-on experience with semiconductor tools and process technologies
• Good understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem and metrology techniques
• Familiarity with device physics and device architecture is an advantage
• Proven ability to identify root causes, solve complex problems, and implement sustainable solutions
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple complex projects in parallel
• Solid understanding of manufacturing flows, cycle times, and material management principles
