About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PostgreSQL / MS SQL DBA to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing mission-critical databases while contributing to architectural decisions and eansuring scalability, performance, and data security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and have the opportunity to drive key initiatives in database modernization. This position offers a chance to work with cutting-edge database technologies while making a significant impact on production systems.

Responsibilities:

Administer, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL databases in a Linux environment.

Collaborate with developers to design efficient schemas, indexes, and high-performing queries.

Handle performance tuning, backup & recovery, high availability (HA), and replication.

Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in production environments.

Support existing MS SQL Server databases (basic to intermediate level).

Requirements:

3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL on Linux.

Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.

Proven experience in query optimization and indexing strategies.

Experience with Roles & Permissions management, SSL/encryption, Row-Level Security (RLS), and audit logging tools like pgaudit.

A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Familiarity with MS SQL Server (maintenance, scripting, and troubleshooting).
