About the Role:

We’re looking for a talented and passionate Product Designer (Maternity Leave Cover) to join PDQ as our dedicated design expert—the sole designer on the team. In this hands-on role, you’ll lead the entire design process from concept to launch, helping shape the future of our product and brand. You’ll be instrumental in transforming our powerful, feature-rich platform into a seamless and intuitive experience for merchants.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the end-to-end design lifecycle for new features and improvements—from initial concept through final implementation.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to bring ideas to life.
• Design clear, elegant user interfaces that make complex functionality easy to navigate.
• Establish and maintain a scalable design system to ensure consistency across the platform.
• Conduct user research, synthesize feedback, and leverage data to guide and validate design decisions.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to clearly communicate your vision.
• Contribute to product strategy by aligning design decisions with user needs and business goals.
• Occasionally create merchant-facing assets such as onboarding guides, tutorials, or promotional materials.

Requirements :

• Proficiency in Figma and experience building and maintaining design systems.
• 3-5 years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing complex systems and user-centered solutions.
• Expertise in UX for complex systems, with the ability to simplify workflows without sacrificing functionality.
• A strong foundation in user-centered design principles and the ability to conduct and apply user research effectively.
• Experience leading the design lifecycle for features or products, from concept to implementation and iteration at a software\product company.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• A passion for balancing product thinking with visual design, ensuring both user and business needs are met.
• Experience in the e-commerce or SaaS industry.
• Willingness to enter a Maternity Leave Cover role
