We are looking for an exceptional and passionate Software Team Lead responsible for the development of our in-house systems and research tools. As a Team Lead at Paragon, you will oversee the development of production-grade systems critical to the day-to-day operations of the company and our product. You’ll work with a variety of technologies and tools to build reliable, scalable systems, cross-platform automations, and complex crawlers.

We are seeking a capable, challenge-driven, and tech-enthusiastic leader who is eager to guide a team of engineers in developing world-class, next-generation solutions.

Responsibilities

• ⁠ ⁠Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• ⁠ ⁠Take ownership of all aspects of software development—from technology choices to ensuring security, scalability, and reliability—while promoting best practices in development.
• ⁠ ⁠Drive technical excellence, high product quality, innovation, and timely delivery in an agile, production-critical environment.
• ⁠ ⁠Shape and influence processes across teams and departments in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving ecosystem.
• ⁠ ⁠Manage a team working with a variety of technologies and tools to create complex systems that automate challenging problems with physical devices.
  
  

• 4+ years of experience leading an engineering team.
• ⁠ 6+ years of experience developing server-side applications and infrastructure.
• ⁠ ⁠Strong experience designing and implementing distributed systems and microservice architectures.
• ⁠ ⁠Proven track record of collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders within the R&D organization.

• ⁠ ⁠Kafka, Redis, Object Storage
• ⁠ ⁠Kubernetes, Docker

• ⁠ ⁠Experience starting new projects from scratch.
• ⁠ ⁠Experience writing systems that run on-premise.
• ⁠ ⁠Previous experience in multiple disciplines.
