Back End Developer

Job description

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who wants to take part in building a highly scalable and secure platform from the ground up. You'll join a small, elite engineering team and work closely with product, design, and leadership to shape the core of Tweed’s next-generation compliance system.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement backend services and APIs powering the compliance engine
• Work with technologies like Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Neo4j, and AWS
• Own critical components and help shape our product architecture and infrastructure
• Collaborate with frontend, data, and DevOps engineers to ship high-quality features
• Ensure scalability, observability, and performance of our systems
• Contribute to a culture of excellence, velocity, and ownership

What We're Looking For?

• 5+ years of backend experience (Node.js preferred, but not mandatory)
• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and/or graph databases (e.g., Neo4j)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and modern CI/CD workflows
• Experience in building secure and robust APIs
• A strong sense of ownership and product thinking
• Bonus: Experience in fintech, compliance, fraud detection, or high-scale systems
