Director of R&D

Compie Technologies Group (with over 200 experts in software, cloud, and AI) is seeking a Director of R&D to lead the technological direction and execution of its Generative AI division.

This is a full-time leadership role that blends hands-on development, strategic decision-making, and direct engagement with enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and R&D efforts hands-on, from concept through deployment
• Own the full development lifecycle of complex, GenAI-based solutions
• Work directly with enterprise clients – including technical presales, discovery, and solution design
• Serve as a Trusted Technology Advisor to strategic customers
• Define and drive the company’s technology strategy, innovation roadmap, and technical standards
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery, quality, and client satisfaction
• Represent the company’s technological vision in both internal and external forums

Requirements

• Proven experience as a hands-on Team Lead / R&D Lead from a project-based tech company – must
• Strong development experience in Python and complex environments (Big Data, DevOps, ML, GenAI) – must
• Deep, hands-on expertise in Generative AI – must
• Experience in client-facing roles, including technical presales and acting as a Trusted Advisor – must
• High level of self-management, organization, structure, and ownership – must
