Senior Data Engineer

BIScience is looking for a Data Engineer to join our R&D team in Israel, Tel Aviv.

Our Data Engineering team is responsible for all the data processing and infrastructure of the company. Working on a diverse and challenging environment providing data solutions to all company products under deadlines.

As a part of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for:

Design and maintain schemas and data structures in our DWH.

Develop data integration processes and pipelines using Bash, Python and SQL.

Tune and optimize the business processes using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Work with AWS persistence services and APIs.

Interact with global R&D and Customer Support groups.

Requirements:

• 5 years of hands-on experience working with large SQL DWH and developing pipelines in a BigData environment - a must.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL with advanced analytics data orientation - a must.
• Proficient with Python programing and OOP concepts - a must.
• Experience with Linux environments and Bash scripting - a must.
• Very good understanding of data and schema standards and concepts - a must.
• Experience in a Cloud Native environments, such as AWS - a must.
• Experience as Database Administrator (DBA) - a big advantage.
• Experience with Snowflake or Vertica – an advantage.
• Great analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
