Job Description

Job Overview

The Mining Specialist/Engineer at Aybak Cement will be responsible for overseeing the entire process from the existing government contract to exploration, factory installation, extraction, and production of cement raw materials. This role also involves studying proposals, managing regulatory compliance, and facilitating communication with stakeholders, including shareholders and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Oversee the execution of the existing government contract, ensuring all obligations are met.
• Liaison with Government Authorities: Act as the primary contact with the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum to ensure compliance with all regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Management of Operations: Assist and manage exploration activities, factory installation, extraction processes, and production coordination to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Technical Communication: Assist shareholders by explaining the technical aspects of the project to facilitate their understanding of processes from exploration to production.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data related to mining and production to assess feasibility and optimize operations.
• Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to sustainability practices and conduct environmental assessments throughout all phases of the project.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on project progress, findings, and recommendations for ongoing development.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field. (Master will be preferred)

Experience

8-12 years of experience in mining operations (experience in Cement Mining will be an advantage)

Technical Skills

Proficiency in mining software and data analysis tools.

Knowledge Of Regulations

Familiarity with mining regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.

Proposal Writing Skills

Experience in preparing proposals and managing project documentation.

Communication Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Dari/Pashto.

Analytical Skills

Strong problem-solving abilities for evaluating geological and operational data.
