About the Company
We seek a detail-oriented and proactive Strategic Buyer to support our operations team in managing a dynamic supply chain environment. In this role, you will lead sourcing initiatives, support R&D through NPI (New Product Introduction) phases, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost reduction projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicative, and can thrive in a fast-paced, innovative company. Reporting to: Supply Chain & Logistics Manager
Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing strategy development for assigned commodities with both local and international suppliers.
- Manage procurement processes end-to-end: monitor purchase requests, obtain quotes, place orders, and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers (CMs).
- Assist R&D through the prototype, NPI, and transfer-to-production phases.
- Implement supplier selection processes, KPIs, and scorecard evaluations to monitor supplier performance.
- Negotiate and manage commercial and legal agreements with suppliers and CMs.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and strategic sourcing enhancements.
- Stay informed about market trends, materials pricing, and new supplier capabilities.
- Coordinate all order processing activities, maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Finance) to understand and meet purchasing needs.
- Perform additional procurement and administrative support tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field – preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in dynamic, multi-technology environments – required.
- Experience working with machined part/sheet metal suppliers, especially in the Far East – a strong advantage.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to lead projects across different departments.
- Strong commercial acumen and legal experience in drafting or managing supplier agreements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Hebrew an advantage).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP systems such as Priority – an advantage.
- Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, negotiation techniques, and supplier management best practices.
- Experience working with machined part/sheet metal suppliers, especially in the Far East – a strong advantage.
