Mechanical Engineer – Hydropower Turbine Specialist

Experienced Mechanical Engineer to support a repair and refurbishment project of pump-turbines at a hydroelectric pumped storage power station in Israel.

The role includes technical support and review, site management and supervision of the mechanical overhaul works, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, schedule, and safety.

Planned project duration is approx. 9 months, starting in late 2025 and continuing through Q3 2026.

·      Supervision and coordination of site activities between main contractor and O&M on site.

·      Technical review of engineering and contractor documentation.

·      Site supervision over the mechanical works executed by the subcontractors, and quality assurance.

·      Ongoing reporting of works progress and issues to project management.

·      At least 10 years of relevant experience in hydroelectric facilities, erection/ heavy maintenance.

·      In-depth mechanical knowledge of Francis-type pump-turbines.

·      Hands-on experience in turbine overhaul projects.

·      Strong communication and project supervision skills.

·      Fluent in English
