Process Engineer – NPI & Advanced Electronics Manufacturing

About the Role

ELTA’s Engineering & Systems Division is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Process Engineer / NPI Technologist to support the development of new electronic technologies and ensure seamless transition to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Active involvement in new product introduction (NPI) processes
• Support and oversight of SMT and electronic module assembly lines
• Definition and control of materials and processes for adhesives and conformal coatings
• Work according to IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards (military / class 3)
• Collaboration with R&D and engineering teams across electronics and electromechanical domains
• Technical liaison with subcontractors in Israel and abroad

What We're Looking For:

• B.Sc. in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering – required
• At least 5 years of proven experience in electronic manufacturing processes – required
• Hands-on knowledge in SMT, soldering, coating, bonding, and electromechanical assemblies
• Experience in PCB design and manufacturing processes
• Background in failure analysis and corrective action implementation
• Deep understanding of advanced soldering technologies for PCBs
• Familiarity with space-grade standards – advantage
• Strong sense of ownership, process leadership, and a broad system-level view
