Field Clinical Engineer Lead

Paragate Medical is in clinical trials with a unique solution to one of the largest unsolved health problems globally - congestion in chronic heart failure patients. Our implantable system autonomously clears systemic excess fluid, providing personalized care that enables patients to lead normal lives and stay out of hospital, saving healthcare providers billions in unnecessary hospitalization costs.

We are seeking a Field Clinical Engineer Lead to oversee and support Clinical Field Engineers (FCEs) at global clinical study sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Master all technical aspects of the implantable system to effectively support clinical operations.
• Act as the main technical expert and lead for Clinical Field Engineers (FCEs) at international clinical
• study sites.
• Train, guide, and support local FCEs, ensuring consistent and high-quality technical assistance at
• clinical study sites worldwide.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and problem-solving support for technical issues escalated by FCEs
• or clinical teams.
• Analyze and interpret technical data and files received from field sites to support troubleshooting and
• study progress.
• Prepare and review technical and clinical documentation, including Instructions for Use (IFU), testing
• protocols, and quality checks.
• Lead and coordinate device testing activities.
• Train and support home care nurses involved in patient education and clinical support.
• Manage clinical study logistics including inventory management, coordination of shipments to study
• sites, and handling administrative tasks related to the study.
• Interface with R&D, support problem solving and “lessons learned” to ensure successful trial execution and support future product enhancements.
• Assist with clinical research and engineering assignments.

Position Details:

· Full-time.

· Up to 25% international travel.

· Immediate start.

Qualifications:

· B.Sc. in Biomedical engineering or related discipline from a recognized institution.

· 0–3 years of relevant work experience.

· Strong technical ability and analytical problem-solving skills.

· Highly organized, self-driven, and able to work independently.

· Fluent English communication skills – written and verbal.

· Willingness to travel internationally (up to 25%).

Advantage:

· Experience or interest in clinical research or medical devices.

· Familiarity with MATLAB/Python and database management.

· Knowledge of GCP (Good Clinical Practice).
