Network Engineer

BlueSnap is looking for a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join the Infrastructure Cloud team. This role combines regular network management with modern automation tools and methods. The ideal candidate is hands-on, understands network security methodology, has excellent interpersonal skills, is a team player, and feels comfortable working in both cloud and on-prem environments.

Please note:

This position includes participation in on-call shifts.

We are located in Herzliya and work in a hybrid work mode.

What will you do?

• Work with other teams to design and implement network solutions.
• Maintain and upgrade cloud and on-prem network systems, and troubleshoot issues (e.g., TCP timeouts).
• Provide technical support based on incoming tickets and monitoring alerts, such as service degradation or loss of communication.
• Manage firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, cloud-based routing service, and segmentation across production and corporate environments
• Work with Panorama Palo Alto firewalls (policies, NAT, decryption, VPNs, routing) and F5 BIG-IP LTM and iRules.
• Manage secure and reliable connectivity solutions for branch offices, site-to-site VPNs, and remote users.
• Support network operations in a PCI/DSS-compliant environment, including logging, auditing, and SIEM integration
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on technical support and infrastructure enhancements.
• Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Take part in on-call rotation and help handle network issues and outages when they occur.

What will you need?

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 networking (VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, NAT) and good knowledge of the Application layer in the TCP/IP model.
• 1+ years of experience working with Panorama / Palo Alto firewalls and F5 BIG-IP (LTM, iRules).
• Practical experience with packet capture and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS or OCI).
• Familiar with network security best practices and compliance standards like PCI/DSS, including DDoS and WAF protection, and HTTP security.
• Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to work well across teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Cisco networking equipment
• Exposure to Ansible, Git, or scripting for automation
• Ability to mentor junior engineers or assist with knowledge sharing across teams
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts and tools, especially Terraform, to support network automation and modernization efforts.
