Moneyboat is seeking an exceptional AI-First

Senior Engineering Lead to spearhead the evolution of our next-generation microservice-based Loan Management System (LMS). You will own the technical vision, guide a team, and drive feature parity as we migrate from a monolithic platform to a modern Node.js + React stack that already processes thousands of loan applications daily.

Key responsibilities

• Orchestrate the Microservice Symphony
• Conduct 15+ services and several React front-ends so they play in perfect harmony—fast, fault-tolerant, and ready for an encore.
• Chase Lightning-Fast Latency
• Keep critical financial calls under one second and uptime at a near-mythical 99.9 %, even on Monday mornings.
• Guard the Treasure
• Lead PCI-DSS, GDPR, and FCA compliance quests; wield encryption and audit logs like a true fintech paladin.
• Mentor & Multiply Talent
• Grow a globally distributed crew into senior-level buccaneers through coaching, pairing, and pragmatic code reviews.
• Chart the Migration Course
• Plot and execute the journey from legacy to a microservices paradise—no data (or developer) left behind.
• Keep Stakeholders Smiling
• Translate tech arcana into plain English for product, compliance, and execs; dazzle them with demos, not jargon.
• Integrate the World
• Navigate partner critical APIs without hitting the reefs of breaking changes.

Your skills & experience

• Proven experience in both project and change management roles.
• Strong ability to translate sometimes complex technical details into language that’s understood by all stakeholders.
• 7+ years in software engineering, 3+ years leading high-scale microservice crews.
• Expert in TypeScript / Node.js, React, REST API craft, Docker, and cloud CI/CD (AWS or GCP).
• Advanced SQL wizardry on high-volume MySQL clusters.
• Fintech or payments pedigree (PCI-DSS, FCA, GDPR).
• Gift for turning gnarly architecture into stories everyone understands.
