Assistant Controller

About The Position

Travelier, formerly Bookaway Group, is a dynamic travel-tech company transforming the way people experience ground and sea transportation. Our innovative digital platforms simplify complex local markets, empowering travelers to effortlessly book ferries, buses, and trains worldwide.

We are seeking a proactive and analytical assistant controller to join our finance team. In this key role, you’ll contribute to accurate financial reporting, partner with global teams, and help define accounting processes. Perfect for a team player who also thinks independently.

In This Role You Will

• Be a contact point for our subsidiaries’ finance teams, offer support and provide guidelines.
• Build a strong relationship and function as a key business partner with the finance teams.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
• Apply quality control over financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local reporting requirements, such as financial statements under local GAAP and income tax reports.
• Bridge accounting frameworks – US GAAP Vs other GAAP.
• Collaborate with other company teams and departments.
• Implement and maintain financial controls.
• Drive optimization of processes.
  
  

• Minimum 3 years in accounting roles (internship included), with a past experience in a Big 4 accounting firm
• CPA - a must
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Strong command of US GAAP
• Ability to communicate clearly across different functions and organizational levels
• Detail-oriented, methodical, and capable of balancing multiple priorities
• Experience in the tech industry, startup/high-growth state of mind – an advantage
• Experience in working in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with NetSuite - an advantage
