Compliance and Certifications Specialist

BMC Software is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Compliance and Certification Specialist to drive our organization’s efforts toward achieving and maintaining recognized quality and information security standards such as ISO 27001, ENS, SOC 2, and others. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in leading certification processes and working with regulatory compliance frameworks. This role is critical to ensuring that our internal processes align with international standards and best practices.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end process of achieving and maintaining certifications such as ISO 27001, ENS, SOC 2, and others as required.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an internal compliance framework in line with relevant standards.
• Coordinate internal and external audits; act as the primary liaison with auditors and certification bodies.
• Identify gaps and risks in existing processes and implement necessary improvements.
• Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to promote a culture of compliance across the organization.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and policies required for certification and audit readiness.
• Monitor regulatory and industry developments and ensure organizational alignment with new requirements.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, HR, and other departments to ensure integrated compliance efforts.

What you’ll need to fit the role:

• At least 5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, or information security roles with a strong focus on ISO, SOC 2, or other relevant standards.
• Proven track record in leading successful certification or recertification processes.
• Deep knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, ENS, and related frameworks.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, CISA, CISSP, or similar are highly desirable.

It would be an advantage for you to have:

• Experience working in a SaaS or tech-focused organization.
• Familiarity with GDPR, NIS2, or other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams.
