Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Engineer to join our embedded systems team. You will work on OpenWrt Linux-based platforms, contributing to both user space applications and kernel space modules. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in embedded Linux development, networking, and low-level system programming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software components for OpenWrt-based systems.
• Work on both user space applications (e.g., daemons, CLI tools) and kernel space modules (e.g., drivers, netfilter hooks).
• Integrate and configure open-source packages within the OpenWrt build system.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the software stack (bootloader, kernel, user space).
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement new features.
• Write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and testing processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Solid understanding of C programming and basic Linux system programming.
• Familiarity with Linux command-line tools, shell scripting, and Makefiles.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls).
• Exposure to embedded Linux or OpenWrt is a strong plus.
• Willingness to learn and work in both user and kernel space environments.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with OpenWrt build system and package development.
• Knowledge of kernel module development or device drivers.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and debugging tools like GDB or strace.
• Understanding of cross-compilation and embedded toolchains.
