A global leader in the personal care industry is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Legal Counsel to join its international legal team. Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, this senior-level position offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the legal direction and operational integrity of a fast-paced, innovative organization.

Position Overview

The Legal Counsel will serve as a key advisor to executive management, offering expert legal guidance on a wide range of matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing complex commercial transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing internal legal processes with a strong business-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Agreements: Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, including vendor, supply, marketing, licensing, and distribution agreements.
• Executive Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice to senior leadership on business initiatives, regulatory developments, and risk mitigation.
• Policy Development: Contribute to the establishment and refinement of internal legal policies, processes, and documentation standards.
• Team Management: Supervise a small team of legal professionals and coordinate with external counsel as required.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in laws and regulations across jurisdictions, ensuring organizational compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments including procurement, marketing, R&D, and compliance to provide tailored legal support.

Qualifications and Experience

• Law degree (LL.B or JD) from a recognized institution.
• Admission to the Bar; U.S. Bar admission considered an advantage.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience, ideally combining both law firm and in-house roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial transactions, intellectual property, and regulatory matters.
• Experience operating within a global or multinational corporate environment is must.
