Procurement Manager

What you’ll do:

Strategic process ownership and optimization: Take full ownership of defining and optimizing our end-to-end procurement process, ensuring it's efficient, transparent, and remarkably user-friendly for all stakeholders. Drive automation and operational excellence across the full procurement lifecycle, from intake to approvals, contracting, and reporting.

ROI as a strategic focus: Shift the focus beyond cost-saving to strategically maximize the return on every dollar spent. Actively seek out the best value for every purchase, understanding what can be achieved within a given budget, and ensuring our investments yield the highest possible returns.

Contract management and standardization: Lead the review of existing contracts and establish standardized purchasing terms, including payment terms, auto renewals, and renewal caps, to ensure favorable conditions and mitigate risks. Lead negotiations and manage relationships with key vendors and service providers.

Employee empowerment and partnership: Act as a proactive partner and advocate for employees, empowering them to successfully complete their purchasing processes with ease and efficiency. Provide clear insights on purchasing options and ensure alignment with departmental needs, making procurement a smooth and supportive experience.

Cross-functional collaboration: Serve as a crucial interface, fostering seamless collaboration with requestors, approvers and key stakeholders (Finance, Legal, IT, etc.).

Continuous improvement and strategic impact: Drive ongoing enhancements within the procurement domain, fostering a culture of efficiency, transparency, and strategic decision-making. You'll be passionate about building and refining our procurement framework to support our scaling environment.

Requirements:

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or any other related field.
• 3-6 years of hands-on, modern procurement experience, preferably within the hi-tech sector.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills; you're approachable, collaborative, and genuinely service-oriented in enabling internal stakeholders.
• A proven track record of building, defining, and optimizing procurement processes from the ground up, with a strong improvement-oriented mindset.
• Expertise in vendor negotiations, contract reviews, and developing comprehensive procurement policies.
• Hands-on experience with procurement platforms (preferably Zip) and ERP systems (preferably NetSuite).
• Strong business judgment, analytical skills, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and scaling environment, with a proactive and hands-on work ethic.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
