We are looking for a skilled and experienced projects and business development Director to join our dynamic team. The position reports to the division manager (VP). This division specializes in providing services in knowledge management, engineering documentation, technical writing, training development and practical training. As part of the division's management, the department manager participates in defining the service and products strategy, leads the sales strategy and the development of new markets and is responsible for customer relations.
Job Description
Manage a department of dozens of employees, with matrix management capabilities.
Experience in project management and supervision of project managers.
Develop and implement market strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
Responsibility for profit and loss (P&L) management within the division.
Collaboration with the division's management to characterize and implement the division's strategy.
Initiate and develop strong business relationships to support business goals.
Lead the management of tenders and bids, while meeting targets and ensuring successful results.
Job Requirements
Proven experience in projects management and managing project managers.
Relevant experience in large to medium-sized companies in a similar role, with an advantage for familiarity with the world of knowledge management and training development.
Relevant industry background, including process industry, high-tech, hardware development, medical devices, government offices, and the third sector.
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
High interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Proven ability to initiate and develop business relationships.
Familiarity with the American market - an advantage.
Native-level English proficiency.
Experience and knowledge in tender management.
