Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

A fast-growing and innovative Infra AI startup is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer, independent, experienced, and with strong system-level thinking, to join as a core member of our founding team.

You will be responsible for building infrastructure from the ground up, including CI/CD systems, cloud environments, security, and observability, with a strong focus on speed, efficiency, and modern best practices.

This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and directly shape the technological backbone of a deep and rapidly scaling product.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure (mainly AWS) from scratch, including architecture planning, optimization, and ongoing maintenance.
• Build and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including integrations, testing, and secure automation.
• Set up, manage, and operate Kubernetes clusters, implementing advanced deployment strategies.
• Manage configurations and infrastructure using Terraform and Helm, including modular setup and multi-environment support (dev/staging/prod).
• Design and develop scalable systems to handle varying workloads and complex architectures.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and security infrastructure, with full integration of industry-standard tools and best practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of proven experience in DevOps roles, preferably in complex and fast-paced environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, and others.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes cluster management, Helm usage, and tailored deployment strategies.
• High-level proficiency in building and managing complex CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Advanced expertise in Terraform, including modular code, environment-specific configurations, and infrastructure complexity management.
• Proven ability to manage and automate multiple environments (dev/staging/prod) with high security and change control standards.
• Practical experience with monitoring and logging systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.
• Experience building automation, backup, and disaster recovery (DR) systems.
• Solid understanding and application of DevSecOps best practices.
• Experience utilizing AI-based tools within DevOps workflows.

Preferred qualifications (not required)

• Experience with additional cloud platforms like GCP or Azure.
• Familiarity with ArgoCD or Flux for GitOps-based deployment and configuration management.
• Background in software development – preferably in JavaScript or Python.
• Experience in container hardening and security scanning across build and deploy stages.
• Understanding of and experience with security compliance standards such as SOC2 or ISO27001.
