Software Engineering Manager

R&D Group Manager – Tel Aviv | $9–13K/month (Flexible DOE)

This is a pivotal leadership role with direct impact on technical strategy, execution, and culture.

🌟 The Opportunity

You’ll oversee several development teams working on a large-scale platform with microservices architecture and an “AI-first” approach. You’ll coach managers and engineers, drive delivery excellence, and help shape the roadmap of a product used by thousands of businesses.

🔹 What You’ll Do

• Lead, mentor, and inspire 2–4 engineering teams, cultivating a high-performance culture
• Oversee technical architecture, code quality, and design best practices across your group
• Own project delivery—from planning and estimation to execution and release
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other R&D leaders to align goals and reduce dependencies
• Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent
• Define and track KPIs to measure impact and continuous improvement
• Stay hands-on with system design and architecture decisions, and occasionally contribute to code to unblock teams
• Champion an “AI-first” mindset, embedding AI/ML and low-code solutions into product development and operations

✅ What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of experience managing multiple engineering teams in a SaaS or product-focused environment with 10+ years hands on engineering experience within ideally a Microsoft stack
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, and event-driven design
• Proven record of delivering complex software projects at scale
• Strong background in mentoring, coaching, and growing technical talent
• Experience managing remote or distributed teams
• Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skills
• A proactive approach to integrating AI and automation into workflows

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with .NET, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in e-commerce, food delivery, or B2C transactional platforms
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their practical applications
