Groundwork BioAg is a leading ag-tech startup specializing in the production of mycorrhizal fungi inoculants for agriculture. We are expanding our microbiology team and seeking a Research Assistant to join our team as a junior microbiologist.
Responsibilities:
- Support R&D trials- planning, executing, documenting and analyzing results, in lab and field.
- Lab operation: equipment, preparation of growth media and solutions, bacterial isolation, identification and count.
- Develop and perform various biochemical tests.
- Read and review scientific literature.
- Support all tasks required.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- OR bachelor’s degree with at least one year of relevant industry experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a microbiology lab - an advantage.
- Willingness to work both in the laboratory and in the field.
- Experience operating lab equipment and lab work and Strong technical skills.
- Experience working in sterile conditions
· Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and general tech aptitude.
- Professionalism, accuracy, high organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability and desire to learn quickly.
- High level of English.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Ability to commute independently to Mazor.
