Data Engineer and IT Business projects Leader

WHAT YOU’LL DO?

• Lead software development projects, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
• Drive data and technology projects aimed at bringing new capabilities to the organization, ensuring they align with the overall business strategy.
• Partner with the CIO and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for technological advancements and prioritize projects accordingly.
• Oversee development teams, quality assurance (QA), and implementation efforts to ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand their needs, translating them into effective software solutions and innovations.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends, continuously bringing new insights and capabilities to improve development processes and business outcomes.
• Manage and mentor team members, ensuring continuous learning and growth within the team.
• Ensure proper documentation and communication of development processes, roadmaps, and key metrics.
• Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for software and technology projects.
  
  

• PAL V5 (ERP System)
• Development of data analytics solutions for real-time business insights.
• Enhancement of vessel telemetry systems (real-time data collection and reporting) & IoT integration for vessels
• Integration of AI and automation tools into software systems to streamline business processes.
• Office / vessels communication improvement
• Main process automation (invoices, DA, vessel take over /change of management).
  
  

• Relevant academic background
• Background in software development to effectively manage the development process
• Previous experience as a Data Engineer
• Experience managing and leading a team of IT professionals
• Strong expertise in ERP systems, BI, Automation– A must
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• High level of English (written and spoken)
