Head of Systems Engineering - Electro Optics

We’re looking for a strategic leader to head our Systems Engineering Group for Electro-Optics – someone with deep technical vision, proven leadership, and the drive to innovate across disciplines.

As part of IAI’s Electro-Optics Engineering Directorate, you will lead the core systems engineering activity for state-of-the-art electro-optical systems, managing a large team and steering future technologies.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the full lifecycle development of complex EO systems – from concept to delivery
• Drive multi-disciplinary design decisions and ensure engineering excellence
• Manage and grow a team of ~40 system engineers
• Define future-facing tech strategies across AI, advanced optics, and embedded computing
• Collaborate with top-tier customers and work closely with the Ministry of Defense

What we’re looking for:

• B.Sc. in Electro-Optics / Electronics / Electrical Engineering – required
• At least 10 years of experience in system engineering
• Proven managerial experience: minimum 5 engineers (25+ over 5 years – strong advantage)
• Hands-on experience with global clients and suppliers
• Strong systems-thinking mindset, leadership, delegation, and decision-making skills
• Innovation-oriented, with business acumen and change leadership capabilities
