Senior Python Backend Engineer – Cyber Security Startup | Tel Aviv

A fast-growing cybersecurity startup in Tel Aviv is hiring a Senior Python Backend Engineer to help build the next generation of security technology.

This is a hands-on role where you will design and develop scalable backend systems and real-time data pipelines that process massive security telemetry.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and build scalable backend systems and microservices in Python

• Develop and maintain real-time ETL pipelines to process large-scale security data

• Work with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, SQL/NoSQL (PostgreSQL, Redis)

• Take full ownership: design, development, deployment, monitoring

• Collaborate with product and security teams to bring ideas to life

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of backend development (preferably in startups)

• Strong Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy)

• Proven experience with microservices, distributed systems, and data-intensive environments

• Hands-on with SQL/NoSQL (PostgreSQL, Redis)

• Familiarity with Airflow or similar orchestration tools

• Cloud experience (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker)

• Bonus: Kafka, OpenSearch, GraphQL, TypeScript
