The role:

We’re looking for a Principal / Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our small, fast-moving team and take ownership across the stack. You’ll design and build backend services in Node.js and TypeScript, contribute to the frontend, and play a key role in architecture and product decisions. As an early hire, you won’t just write code. You’ll help shape what we build, how we build it, and the culture we build it in. This is a full-time, mostly on-site role for someone who thrives in startups and wants end-to-end responsibility for meaningful systems.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building backend services with Node.js and TypeScript
• Early stage startup experience: you’re comfortable wearing multiple hats
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. Postgres, MySQL); experience with MongoDB is a plus
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS (or GCP) infrastructure is a plus
• Fluency in React and modern frontend practices is a plus
• Familiar with REST API design best practices and writing clear, testable interfaces
• Strong track record of writing production-ready, testable code — and solving problems in production when things go wrong
• Bias toward action — you take ownership, move fast, and default to building
• B.Sc. in Computer Science (or equivalent) from a university
