EDA Support Engineer – PCB Design Tools (Electronics Technician/Engineer)
📍 Central Israel | Full-time | Hybrid/On-site
We are looking for an experienced Electronics Technician or Engineer to join our team as an EDA Support Engineer. In this role, you will support PCB designers and hardware engineers, troubleshoot EDA tool issues, define workflows, and ensure smooth operation of PCB design environments.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support for electronic design teams and board designers
- Manage and troubleshoot EDA environments – primarily Expedition (Mentor Graphics)
- Define and optimize PCB design workflows and methodologies
- Evaluate and implement new EDA tools and processes
- Solve system and tool-related issues, working closely with engineering teams
- Work in a Linux-based environment
- Collaborate with database and IT teams to manage component libraries and data
🔹 Requirements:
- Practical Engineer (Handasai) or B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering
- Hands-on experience in PCB design or support for PCB designers
- Knowledge of EDA tools such as Expedition, Altium, Cadence, etc.
- Familiarity with Linux OS and basic scripting – an advantage
- Experience working with component databases or PLM systems – a plus
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
