Head of DBA & Data Development Team
We are looking for a Team Leader to head our DBA and Data Development team. This position includes full responsibility for managing all organizational database operations—setup, maintenance, performance, support, and troubleshooting—across both relational and non-relational environments.
The role involves:
- Managing a team of skilled DBAs.
- Serving as the professional authority for complex database issues.
- Overseeing schedules, system health, and performance optimization.
- Working with a variety of relational and non-relational databases: Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.
- Responsibility for Kafka and the ELK stack.
- Working with ETL tools such as DataStage and Talend.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Application/Infrastructure DBA, including strong experience with Oracle (11 and above) and SQL Server – must be clearly indicated on the CV.
- 6+ years of experience leading technological teams – mandatory.
- Proven experience working with large-scale databases: writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries.
- Experience working with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure – an advantage.
- Experience in at least one programming language – strong advantage.
