Cyber Defense System Engineer

We are looking for a Cyber Defense System Engineer to join the Aircraft Upgrades & Conversions plant at IAI’s Aviation Division, working on cutting-edge mission computers and airborne communication systems.

What you’ll do:

• Define and specify cybersecurity requirements for hardware, software, and infrastructure
• Lead system design reviews (PDR, CDR)
• Perform integration and validation testing in lab and onboard aircraft
• Write test plans for both lab and flight testing, and analyze results
• Support the entire project lifecycle — from development through production and customer delivery
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders (customers, subcontractors)

What we’re looking for:

• B.Sc. in Aeronautical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering – required
• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering – advantage
• Proven experience in cybersecurity design and validation in military or civilian systems – required
• Knowledge of secure networks and communication protocols – required
• Familiarity with airborne systems and avionics standards – strong advantage
• Background in the Israeli Air Force (e.g., avionics engineering, flight testing, techno-operational roles) – advantage
• CISM or CISSP certification – advantage
• Proficiency in technical English – required
