Lab Manager Position Available

A laboratory at the Technion researching the connections between the immune system, aging, and metabolism is seeking a lab manager who loves science, people, and diverse work.

The position includes a combination of ongoing lab management and active participation in research:

Research responsibilities – Planning and setting up experiments, developing new protocols, mentoring and training research students, organizing and preserving the group's scientific knowledge, and systematic writing of protocols.

Management responsibilities – Responsibility for Purchasing, inventory and budget management, responsibility for routine equipment maintenance, user training, and managing the laboratory's safety portfolio.

Position Requirements:

  • PhD in life sciences or related field – required
  • Experience working with mice – required
  • Experience working with cell cultures and molecular techniques – required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, organization, and high self-management ability
  • Research experience in relevant fields is an advantage

*This is a part-time position at 80%
