Senior data engineer

We're looking for an Experienced hands-on Data Engineer to build Classiq’s data pipelines from the ground up. You’ll define the right questions to ask, the metrics that matter, and the systems to support it all. This role is foundational—you’ll be the person everyone turns to for making data accessible, reliable, and actionable.

As a data engineer, you’ll work closely with quantum scientists and product teams to design data infrastructure that powers cutting-edge research, product innovation, and customer insights. Responsibilities:

• Build a complete data infrastructure - Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Own the full data lifecycle: ingestion, processing, warehousing, visualization, and access control.
• Collaborate with our product team and quantum scientists to deliver actionable insights.
• Hold an active part in defining key metrics, KPIs, and the business questions we need data to answer.
  
  

• 3+ years of experience as a data engineer or similar role.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and SQL skills.
• Experience with modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.).
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages.
• Ability to set up dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Metabase, Tableau, etc.).
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• BSc or above in engineering, physics, or a similar discipline.
• Experience in a startup or zero-to-one data infrastructure role. (Advantage)
