Purchasing Buyer

We are looking for a Buyer to join our BWIIL Procurement in operations.

As a Buyer, you will implement procurement activities for the programs and innovative initiatives for the business.

Participate in establishment, communication, and implementation of business goals and procurement improvements. Conduct data analysis and reporting for Supply chain leadership decision making.

Collaborate with external suppliers supporting BWIIL business needs. Negotiation with suppliers on low/medium complex commercial pricing and cost improvements.

Build relationships with internal customers, to understand their business objectives and provides support in addressing their procurement needs.

Support continuous improvement efforts for the business needs and procurement functional and category strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Purchasing:
• Commercial negotiations with suppliers on low/medium pricing and cost improvements. Push suppliers for implementation of BWIIL procurement strategy.
• Oversee and escalate identified issues require management support.
• Work closely with internal platforms supporting their procurement needs.
• Working with local and global suppliers on material allocations and expediting, secure supply demand.
• Actively Participate in BWIIL procurement department activities such as purchase orders, SAP updates and Agile.
• Lead “clean desk” policy with suppliers – Price variances (PPV) Excess, dead stock.
• Consignment Inventory:
• Lead consignment inventory at suppliers, Incoming material and invoicing, credit notes receiving and monitoring status to be always able projecting status and visibility to BWIIL leadership. Work closely with BWIIL cross functional teams such as Finance, logistics, Legal and suppliers standing J&J compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering / economics /business administration/ industrial Practical Engineering (PE) Diploma or another logistic related field.
• Proven experience of at least 3 years as a buyer in Medical Device companies or Electronics Sub-contracting Industry.
• Negotiations - Low / Medium ($K) level commercial negotiation skills.
• Ability to push and influence cross-functional teams & external suppliers
• Consignment inventory management knowhow – an advantage.
• Understanding business operations and practices such as (planning, purchasing processes, finance).
• SAP, Agile knowhow – preferred.
