Events Project Manager

The YAEL Foundation, headquartered in Jerusalem, is a rapidly expanding nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening Jewish identity worldwide by providing accessible, high-quality educational opportunities to Jewish children. Founded in 2020 by philanthropists Uri and Yael Poliavich, the foundation has quickly grown to become one of the largest funders of Jewish education globally, supporting over 85 schools and educational initiatives across 37 countries and impacting more than 14,000 students daily.

Position Summary

The YAEL Foundation is seeking a dynamic and visionary Events Project Manager to lead two of the Foundation’s flagship initiatives:

• YAEL Camp, a large-scale immersive summer experience for 500 Jewish teens, and
• The YAEL Summit, a high-impact leadership gathering for 250 heads of schools and Jewish educators from around the world.

This senior leadership role requires a rare blend of strategic vision, educational alignment, and production excellence. The Events Project Manager will be responsible for translating the Foundation’s educational mission into unforgettable, high-impact experiences that empower the next generation of Jewish leaders and learners.

The ideal candidate will bring strong project management experience, an understanding of informal Jewish education, and the ability to execute complex, large-scale programming with professionalism, purpose, and passion.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Vision

• Serve as the lead strategist and executive producer for the YAEL Summit and YAEL Camp.
• Define and execute a multi-year vision for program growth, educational impact, and global reach.
• Translate the Foundation’s values and educational goals into innovative, youth-centered experiences.

Planning & Production

• Oversee all program logistics, including venue coordination, staffing, scheduling, transportation, and risk management.
• Develop detailed project plans and manage annual program budgets.
• Lead planning cycles for both programs, ensuring timely execution and excellence in delivery.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Coordination

• Recruit, manage, and mentor seasonal staff and volunteer educators.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments (education, operations, finance) and external vendors.
• Build strong relationships with partners, parents, and participants.

Content & Experience Design

• Ensure participant experiences are engaging, meaningful, and aligned with the Foundation’s mission. Collaborate with content teams where relevant, but focus on logistics and delivery.
• Work closely with the whole team to develop session frameworks, experiential learning activities, and youth leadership opportunities.
• Continually assess participant experience and adapt programming accordingly.

On-Site Program Execution

• Be on the ground to lead all aspects of live program delivery, from staff briefings to participant support to real-time problem solving.
• Serve as the visible, trusted leader for all stakeholders during Summit and Camp operations.

Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in program or event leadership, preferably in a camp, retreat, or large-scale experiential setting.
• At least 3 years in a director-level or senior project management role.
• Proven ability to manage high-budget, multi-day events with 250+ participants.
• Demonstrated success overseeing complex logistics, multi-stakeholder coordination, and immersive educational programming.
• Experience with Jewish educational content or teen engagement is a plus, but not required

Location & Travel

• Primary Location: Jerusalem, Israel
• Travel Requirement: Up to 25–30% travel during Summit and Camp seasons, including extended on-site program presence.
