Your Role And Responsibilities

IBM Research - Israel is looking for outstanding engineers / researchers to work as part of a leading team on cutting-edge research in AI Platform infrastructures area, contributing to state-of-the-art products and practices. We specializes in advanced cloud and AI system technologies, including resource optimization, virtualization, networking, Storage, Big Data and AI for IT operations and AI workloads. The candidate will be exposed to many facets of AI infrastructure ecosystem and is expected to gain a lot of knowledge and expertise in the area.

As a member of the team, you’ll take responsibility for addressing problems in the areas of

AI and Kubernetes, extending existing software by writing code in various languages (Python, Java, Go, C and Javascript), as well as installing and integrating software packages.

• MsC in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related fields
• Strong coding skills; hands-on experience with at least one of the languages: Go, Python, Java;
• Demonstrated algorithmic and problem-solving skills
• Background in cloud and AI technologies and related open-source projects
• Innovative thinker, creative spirit, and self-learner
• Team Player
• Good communication skills (English and Hebrew)
• Experience working with VMs, Containers, and Kubernetes
• Previous participation in open-source software projects development
• Understanding of current trends in distributed computing and AI technologies
