Senior Security Engineer, Architecture Team - Temp Position / Freelancer

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our InfoSec team and support a wide range of critical security initiatives and operational tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a leading architecture team, directly contributing to the security of an innovative and growing company's systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Browser and Extension Security Management: Review and control the use of non-approved browsers and non-compliant browser extensions (utilizing tools like ExtensionTotal), with the aim of removal or approval based on business needs.
• Custom Bot Security: Evaluate security configurations of internally developed bots on platforms like Slack and implement robust security controls (e.g., IP restrictions, least privilege principles).
• SaaS Application Security Management: Assist with SSO (Single Sign-On) integrations and IP whitelisting for SaaS applications.
• Vulnerability Management Support: Aid in asset mapping, patching enforcement, and other vulnerability management activities.
• Identity and Network System Administration & Hardening: Assist in the administration and hardening of IDP systems (such as Okta) and VPN solutions (such as Zscaler), including optimizing security configurations.

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proven experience in project management within the information security domain.
• In-depth knowledge of information security principles, network protocols, and security methodologies.
• Significant advantage: Prior experience working with Zscaler.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a quick learning capability.
• Service-oriented approach with the ability to work effectively with end-users and various internal teams.
• A strong understanding of business needs and the ability to justify tailored security solutions.
• Excellent English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
