Mechanical Engineer – Airobotics Drones | Mechanical Design Role for Autonomous Drone Systems

Airobotics Drones (located in Petach Tikva), one of Israel’s leading companies in the development and production of autonomous drone systems, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a mechanical design position for both aerial and ground-based assemblies.

In this role, you will be an integral part of the mechanical engineering team, responsible for leading end-to-end projects – including planning, design, drafting, collaboration with various departments and external suppliers, and supporting the development and production phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design of aerial and ground assemblies, including preparation of manufacturing and assembly drawings
• Leading mechanical projects from requirements definition to customer delivery
• Working closely with system engineers, procurement, integration teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Writing design reviews, assembly instructions, and supporting proof-of-concept testing
• Meeting complex engineering challenges under time and technological constraints

Mandatory Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution – required
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design – required
• Including at least 3 years working with airborne platforms (drone experience – advantage)
• Full proficiency in SolidWorks – required
• Strong hands-on capabilities – required
• Experience in designing products for serial manufacturing – required
• Familiarity with various manufacturing technologies (3D printing, CNC machining, plastic and metal materials) – required
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, highly organized, self-learner, able to work under pressure – required
